述曰：其餘六法，而方彼四勢用微而且劣故。何謂為劣？此四法中三法為根，精進遍策一切能斷、能修善心；彼餘六法非根及遍策故，非不放逸之依，即非勝也。下問答有六：初問；次質；三、答；四、難；五、徵；六、釋。

The Commentary states: The remaining six dharmas, when compared with those four, are weak and inferior in force and function. Why are they inferior? Among these four dharmas, three are roots, and diligence universally spurs all wholesome minds capable of abandoning and cultivating. Those other six dharmas are neither roots nor universal spurs, so they are not the basis of heedfulness—that is, they are not superior. Below, the question-and-answer section has six parts: first, a question; next, a challenge; third, an answer; fourth, an objection; fifth, an inquiry; sixth, an explanation.
