述曰：論主答曰：淨體勝法，染體劣法，勝少敵劣多，故染多而淨少。其實體相相翻頭數亦等，而此所違多少不同，故有此答問。此義雖爾，何故不立善多染少也？

The Commentary states: The author of the treatise answers: Pure essences are superior factors, while defiled essences are inferior factors; a few superior ones can counter many inferior ones, so the defiled is numerous and the pure is few. In reality, their essence and marks invert each other in an equal number, but the number of what they oppose differs; therefore, there is this question and answer. Although this principle is so, why not establish many wholesome factors and few defiled ones?
