6.48

述曰：論主答云：此不緣可厭事，謂此欲但求彼可厭之事未合不合，已合得離之位。可欣自體，若自內身，可欣不合及後離位；若欲外境，此位即是緣可欣事生，非可厭事。

The Commentary states: The author of the treatise answers: This does not take loathsome things as its cognitive object. This desire only seeks the state of not meeting what has not yet been met and being separated from what has already been met among loathsome things. The delightful essence—whether in one's own body, the non-meeting and subsequent state of separation are delightful; if desiring an external sphere, this state is precisely arising by taking a delightful thing as a cognitive object, not a loathsome thing.
