述曰：引事也。如禽獸等以執常存故，熾然造及集長時窟穴資具。集長時飲食資具如恐我斷，定有俱生，此以事證。以教成者。

The Commentary states: This adduces mundane facts. Because birds, beasts, and the like grasp at their enduring permanence, they eagerly construct and gather caves and provisions for a long duration. Gathering food and supplies for a long duration, just as they fear the annihilation of the self, proves that there must be the innate [view of permanence]; this is established through factual evidence.
