The Commentary states: Attachment and the views can sometimes have the same object, because both can be agreeable; thus, their association involves no error. All treatises agree, and there is no contradiction. Here, when the treatise says 'are said to,' there are two meanings: first, regarding this treatise itself, according to principle it can be said to have the meaning of associating with them; second, explaining other texts, meaning other works like the Yogācāra state that they arise together based on this principle. Furthermore, stating that they 'can be associated' does not mean that they are always associated in all cases, but that they sometimes arise together. However, in this text, after examining one dharma using the first as primary, it examines the others using the second as primary, setting aside the first without inquiring into it again; the subsequent cases proceed in this manner, as should be understood.
