6.62

述曰：此即難言。經亦說愛為諸法本，豈一切心皆由愛有？若言如愛非遍生心，如何說欲為諸法本？《順正理》第十廣引此經，乃至未云：解脫堅固，究竟涅槃。

The Commentary states: This is an objection, saying: The sūtra also says that craving is the root of all phenomena; can it be that all cittas exist on account of craving? If you say that, just as craving does not universally generate citta, how could [the sūtra] say that desire is the root of all phenomena? The tenth fascicle of the Nyāyānusāra cites this sūtra at length, up to the point of saying: 'Liberation is its firm core; its culmination is nirvāṇa.'
