The Commentary states: Third, explaining doubt and the three views. The three views refer to view-attachment, rule-attachment, and false views. They have four feelings, excluding suffering, present or absent according to the mind; this is solely the correct view. Since the hells lack discriminative afflictions, it resolves the difficult point by saying: doubt in the desire realm having previously done evil deeds, doubting that there are truths of suffering and origination, also coexists with the feeling of joy, because in the future there will be no suffering. In the higher realms it is absent, because there is no fruit of evil deeds; doubt in the higher realms coexists with the feeling of pleasure. These all pervade the general aggregate of the three realms; since the formulation is made in certain places, the words 'established definitively' are stated.
