述曰：染定起時，既名染故，心亦躁擾；不相違故，相應無失。非是散亂定取多緣，以躁擾是亂自相故。

[The Commentary states:] When defiled concentration arises, since it is designated "defiled," the mind is also agitated; because they are not contradictory, their association is without fault. It is not that distraction definitively apprehends multiple objects, for agitation is the intrinsic mark of distraction.
