6.96

述曰：心專一境，依教而緣，證解所緣，心便明淨，由斯遂有無漏智生，能知所緣德、失等相。約四法迹定能生智，非定須然。

The Commentary states: The mind focuses exclusively on a single object; cognizing in reliance on the teaching, it realizes and understands the intentional object, and the mind then becomes bright and pure. Due to this, anāsrava wisdom arises, capable of knowing the characteristics of virtue, fault, and so forth in the intentional object. In terms of the four requisites of the Dharma, concentration can generate wisdom, but it does not necessarily have to be so in every instance.
