6.968

述曰：此十忿等生上不起下，一、非潤生，下十唯不善，潤生無記故，不與愛俱。又不謗滅故，不與邪見並，除此二時，生上必不起下心，故忿等十上不起下。第三子門上下相緣。

[The Commentary states:] When born in a higher stage, one does not give rise to the lower ten of anger and the like: first, they do not moisturize rebirth, for the lower ten are solely unwholesome, while moisturizing rebirth is indeterminate, so they do not co-occur with craving; second, they do not slander cessation, so they do not accompany wrong view. Apart from these two occasions, when born in a higher stage one definitely does not give rise to a lower mind; hence the ten of anger and the like do not give rise to the lower from the higher. The third subsection is mutual objectification between higher and lower.
