述曰：聞、思等位，悔作諸惡，於眠等位，思擇義故。次應辨染，以見、修等，後自有門，故先不說。

The Commentary states: In the stages of hearing, reflection, and so forth, one regrets having performed various evil deeds; and in the states of sleep and so forth, one deliberates upon principles. Next, defilement should be distinguished; but because [abandonment by] seeing, cultivation, and so forth have their own section later, they are not stated first.
