述曰：眠非變化心俱，非定引生故，增異熟心俱者，眠中亦有住異熟故，此異熟生心非實異熟。尋、伺亦然，不與第三第八識中文相違也。

The Commentary states: Torpor is not associated with the transformation mind, because it is not induced by meditative absorption. The reason association with the maturation mind is added is that during sleep one also abides in maturation; this mind born of maturation is not actual maturation. The same applies to investigation and analysis, which does not contradict the text in the third [fascicle] on the eighth consciousness.
