述曰：第一師有義：悔、眠不緣上，以此惡作行相麁近，其眠行相極昧略故，無有夢中緣上界故，或緣上名非緣上地。

The Commentary states: The first master holds the opinion: Regret and torpor do not cognize the higher, because the mental configuration of this remorse is coarse and near, and the mental configuration of this sleep is extremely faint and condensed. There is no such thing as cognizing higher realms in dreams; or else it cognizes higher names, not higher stages.
