述曰：下第二師。初生無心同前師說，將命終位，要起轉識，方始命終，所以者何？五十九說：異生以纏及隨眠潤生故。故《對法》第五說：諸異生九種潤生心，必起現愛故。

The Commentary states: Below is the second master. Being mindless at initial birth is the same as the previous master’s explanation; when about to die, one must arouse the evolving consciousnesses before dying. Why is this? Fascicle fifty-nine states that ordinary persons moisten rebirth by means of active entanglements and latent tendencies. Therefore, the fifth fascicle of the *Abhidharma-samuccaya* states: among ordinary persons, the nine kinds of minds that moisten rebirth necessarily arouse active craving.
