述曰：下會論文。《對法》等說：不恒行心及心所滅者，非謂末後位，謂彼但依中間時說，非謂一期全無六識。此即兼解唯有有色支訖，非謂末後無愛支，故雖與無心定為喻，然長時相似，故得為喻。

The Commentary states: Below reconciles the treatises’ texts. When the *Abhidharma-samuccaya* and other texts state that the minds and mental factors that do not constantly operate cease, it does not refer to the final state; it means that they speak only in reliance on the intermediate period, not that an entire lifespan is entirely devoid of the six consciousnesses. This also simultaneously explains that there are only material constituents: it does not mean that at the very end there is no constituent of craving. Therefore, although it serves as an analogy for the mindless attainments, because they are similar for a long duration, it can serve as an analogy.
