述曰：雖六位說是無心，入無餘依頌中不說，此頌但說斷後復生故，不說彼第六識等入無餘位後永不生，此說生故。下依凡聖以辨五位。

The Commentary states: Although six states are spoken of as unconscious, entering [the realm] without remainder is not mentioned in the verse, because this verse only speaks of what arises again after being severed; it does not speak of the sixth consciousness and so forth never arising again after entering the state without remainder, for this text speaks of what arises. Below, the five states are differentiated according to ordinary beings and noble ones.
