述曰：此文第四唯識成空難。外人又問：為除法執既說唯識，此唯識性豈不亦空？今問依他名唯識性即相之性，不問真理。《唯識二十》云：若知諸法一切種無入法無我，是則唯識亦畢竟無，何所安立？

The Commentary states: This text is the fourth objection, that consciousness-only turns out to be empty. The opponent asks again: Since consciousness-only was taught to eliminate attachment to phenomena, is not this nature of consciousness-only also empty? Here, asking about other-dependent nature as the nature of consciousness-only means the nature of marks, not asking about the ultimate truth. The Viṃśikā-vijñaptimātratā states: If one knows that all phenomena are absent in all aspects and enters the selflessness of phenomena, then is not consciousness-only also completely nonexistent, so what could be established?
