述曰：若撥無識及性，即撥無二諦，佛說為不可治者，沈淪生死病根深故，即清辨等。應知諸法遍計所執無，故有空；依他、圓成有，故有不空也。故彌勒說前二頌，即前《中邊》頌，《二十唯識》義與此同。

The Commentary states: If one repudiates consciousness and its nature as nonexistent, that is repudiating both truths as nonexistent; the Buddha said such persons are incurable, because the root of the disease of sinking in saṃsāra is deep—this refers to Bhāviveka and others. One should know that all phenomena are empty because the parikalpita-svabhāva is nonexistent; and they are not empty because the paratantra-svabhāva and pariniṣpanna-svabhāva are existent. Therefore Maitreya spoke the previous two stanzas, which are the previous stanzas from the Madhyāntavibhāga; the doctrine of the Viṃśikā-vijñaptimātratā is the same as this.
