述曰：此即末那隨第八繫，如前已說，故同第八界地互緣，三界有覆得相引也。

The Commentary states: This means that manas follows the bondage of the eighth consciousness, as explained earlier. Therefore, mutually taking objects across the realms and stages in the same way as the eighth, the defiled [states] of the three realms can induce one another.
