述曰：前四說中，初三師義。第一是假，五十五說是世俗有故。問：彼何故尋、伺言假？此二言世俗，所對別故。

The Commentary states: Among the previous four positions, this is the doctrine of the first three masters. The first is that they are provisional, because fascicle 55 states that they are conventional existents (saṃvṛti-sat). Question: Why does it say of investigation and examination that they are "provisional", while of these two it says "conventional"? Because what they are contrasted with is distinct.
