述曰：第一師說唯有親無疎，所以者何？此識由業及自因力故，任運變境故，無疎所緣緣。疎所緣緣必強思心方可有故，異熟心無，然亦能變他依處者，相似名變，不杖他生，任運變故。

The Commentary states: The first master states that it has only the immediate and no remote. Why is this? Because this consciousness, through the power of karma and its own cause, transforms its objects spontaneously, it lacks a remote objective condition. A remote objective condition can exist only in a mind of forceful reflection; the vipāka mind lacks this. Although it can also transform the physical bases of others, this is called transformation by similarity, without relying on others to arise, because it transforms spontaneously.
