述曰：第二義言：此或是二乘第三果已去迴趣大者，為證初地法空，地前亦起九地所攝生空無漏智。「九地」者，六色界、三無色。彼先生空智，為菩薩觀起，順菩薩觀故，皆此根攝，說彼有此根，非違理也，然二乘人未證法空觀起無漏故，此中不說。

The Commentary states: The second interpretation says: this refers to those of the two vehicles from the third fruit upward who turn toward the Great [Vehicle]; in order to realize the emptiness of dharmas of the first ground, they also give rise to the uncontaminated wisdom of the emptiness of persons subsumed under the nine grounds prior to the grounds. The 'nine grounds' are the six [grounds] of the form realm and the three of the formless realm. That uncontaminated wisdom of the emptiness of persons generated previously arises for the sake of the bodhisattva's contemplation, and because it conforms to the bodhisattva's contemplation, it is all subsumed under this faculty. To say that they have this faculty does not contradict reason. However, because persons of the two vehicles have not yet realized the emptiness of dharmas and given rise to the uncontaminated [wisdom], they are not spoken of here.
