述曰：第二師解：此「種子」言，唯屬十五依處之中，第四有潤種子依處，以有種子言故。此有潤中，不簡去業，不攝習氣中因緣種，及四依處中因緣者，取捨如前攝二因等，此師意解，約生起親近，故不說餘。因緣種顯，不說業等，以牽引等，遠疎等別故，略而不說，即以此文為不盡理。

The Commentary states: The second master's explanation: This word 'seed' pertains solely to the fourth basis among the fifteen bases, the basis of moisturized seeds, because it contains the word 'seed.' Within this [basis of] moisturized [seeds], it does not exclude karma, and it does not subsume seeds of cause-condition within impregnation, nor cause-conditions within the four bases. What is accepted and rejected is as in the earlier subsumption of the two causes, etc. The intention of this master's explanation is that because the generating [cause] is direct and proximate, the others are not mentioned; and because seeds of cause-condition are prominent, karma and the like are not mentioned. Because projecting and the like have distinctions such as being distant and indirect, they are omitted and not mentioned; thus this text is regarded as not fully expressing the underlying principle.
