The Commentary states: This is what is realized through the anāsrava severing of obstacles: among the eight unconditioned [dharmas], it is the tathatā of the three natures—the unmoving, the cessation of ideation and feeling, and cessation through deliberation. The Abhidharmasamuccaya states: 'The eternal extinction of the anuśayas is this fruit.' Chapter 38 of the Yogācārabhūmi and the Prakaraṇāryavācā also state: 'Ordinary persons extinguish the afflictions through worldly wisdom; because it is not ultimate, it is not subsumed under this fruit.' However, regarding this fruit, there is an opinion: it is obtained solely through severing the affliction obstacle, not the cognitive obstacle; if it is spoken of with regard to the cognitive obstacle, the concentration obstacles are also included, as stated below in the tenth fascicle. There is [another] opinion: it is also obtained through the cognitive obstacle. In the present text, it is spoken of comprehensively, so there is also no contradiction.
