8.165

述曰：此有二說：初師四因得，以士夫為士用故，餘不得者非士夫故。各各是望別法為也，觀待相同，故取之也，唯增上緣得。

The Commentary states: Here there are two explanations. The first master holds that it is obtained by four causes, because taking a person as purposive effort, the others that do not obtain it are not persons. Each is viewed in relation to a distinct dharma; since the aspect of regard is identical, it is taken. It is obtained solely by the sovereign condition.
