述曰：釋為三緣，此簡業種生異熟果及餘增上，雖眼識生藉根等種，非親種故，亦非因緣。總而言之，一切相、見等法，皆有此緣而生，無非識種生故。

The Commentary states: Explaining how they act as three conditions: this excludes karmic seeds producing vipāka fruits and other sovereign [effects]. Although the arising of eye-consciousness relies on the seeds of the sense-faculties and so forth, because they are not its direct seeds, they are also not its causal condition. Generally speaking, all nimittabhāgas, darśanabhāgas, and other dharmas arise having this condition, because there are none that are not produced from seeds of consciousness.
