述曰：自下別中，第一子門。自他、身相望，謂自、他身分別，展轉容作二緣，因緣有無，前總門中已定除訖，下但於餘三緣中取捨，此除等無間，等無間法唯自一識故，此中分別既攝見、相分等故，由他生者皆名分別，但知不唯是見分也，即唯前六識或亦第八識，許變他處故。

The Commentary states: Below is the specific [explanation], the first sub-section. One's own and another's persons viewed in relation to each other: this means that the discriminations of one's own and another's persons mutually are admissible to act as two conditions. The presence or absence of the causal condition has already been definitively excluded in the preceding general section; below, it merely accepts or rejects among the remaining three conditions. Here, the equal and immediate [condition] is excluded, because an equal and immediate dharma belongs solely to one's own single consciousness. Since 'discrimination' here subsumes nimittabhāgas, darśanabhāgas, and so forth, whatever is produced dependent on another is called discrimination; one need only know that it is not solely the darśanabhāga. That is, it is only the first six consciousnesses, or also the eighth consciousness, since it is admitted that it transforms into other places.
