述曰：然前相分與見為二緣，不言種子亦為相分得為因緣者，此中不依種子為相分說，以說現行互為緣故。又，種為緣生分別者，前第一門以解訖故，此即現行染八識聚說為緣訖。

The Commentary states: However, regarding the earlier statement that the nimittabhāga serves as two conditions for the darśanabhāga, the reason it is not said that seeds also serve as nimittabhāga and can be cause-conditions is that here it is not spoken based on seeds being the nimittabhāga, because this explains active manifestations mutually serving as conditions. Furthermore, seeds serving as conditions to produce discriminative thought was already explained in the first topic above; thus, the active manifestations of the defiled eight consciousness clusters have been explained with respect to serving as conditions.
