述曰：此善、不善業能感當來若別、若總異熟之果，勝增上緣，非同性故，非親能辨果體生故。次解二取，此有八解。

The Commentary states: This wholesome or unwholesome karma is capable of producing the coming ripened fruits, whether distinct or general, as a sovereign predominant condition; because it is not of the same nature [as the fruit] and is not capable of directly generating the entity of the fruit. Next, it explains the two graspers; here there are eight interpretations.
