8.30

述曰：體通一切法，果唯心、心所，有漏、無漏等，並通因果。若以未來為因，果非現在，非因前而果後者，今亦不然，相分現在義似未來，無實未來，故所緣緣無不有果。此三十八說此等無間緣及所緣緣，唯望一切心、心所故。

The Commentary states: Its substance covers all phenomena; its result is solely citta and caitasikas; sāsrava, anāsrava, and so forth cover both cause and effect. If one takes the future as cause, the result is not present, and it would not be that the cause is prior and the result posterior; now this is also not so, because the nimittabhāga is present and its sense resembles the future, while there is no real future; hence, there is no objective condition that lacks a result. In fascicle thirty-eight, it states that this equal-and-immediate condition and objective condition are solely with respect to all citta and caitasikas.
