8.36

述曰：謂於所作業、能作者之作用，即取前所除中正作之士用親助緣者，其果寬狹同前作用，作用、士用必同所作故。不取親者，非因緣故。此二果通漏、無漏三性因亦爾。然此二及前五無記即因，除無間緣及根依處，餘依處果通漏、無漏，彼二果唯有漏，有漏二因是無記故，不生無漏也，此依六識作法。

The Commentary states: This refers to the activity of the action performed and of the agent; that is, among what was excluded before, taking the immediate auxiliary conditions of human effort that are currently acting. The breadth and narrowness of its result are the same as the preceding activity, because activity and human effort necessarily share the same action performed. Immediate ones are not taken because they are not causal conditions. The results of these two cover sāsrava, anāsrava, and the three natures; the causes are also like this. However, when these two and the preceding five have an indeterminate as cause, excluding the immediate condition and the basis of faculties, the results of the other bases cover sāsrava and anāsrava; the results of those two are solely sāsrava, because those two sāsrava causes are indeterminate and do not produce the anāsrava; this is explained according to the six consciousnesses.
