The Commentary states: This is an answer following the opponent's view; it does not fully exhaust the principle. What is meant by definite? Because for those who do not seek the cessation of subsequent existence and, relying on superior wholesome actions, are born into good destinies, craving is definitely present. That is to say, only excluding those who seek the cessation of subsequent existence and those born into miserable destinies, craving definitely arises: seeking non-existence, they do not desire existence and produce craving; being born into miserable destinies, they do not crave the place of birth. Aside from these, craving is definitely present. Question: If so, a non-returner does not manifestly moisten rebirth with craving; does this not contradict the sacred teaching which says craving is definitely present?
