述曰：第六問也。諸緣起支皆依自地？同取五十六文。有所發行依他無明同取緣起，此如何等，應顯其事為一、為多？此唯有一，如下無明發上地行。

The Commentary states: This is the sixth question: Are the branches of dependent origination all based on their own stage? This similarly adopts the text of chapter 56. There are instances where initiated karmic formations rely on the ignorance of another [stage], which similarly adopts the *Pratītyasamutpāda*. How is this case? Should its matter be revealed as one or as many? It is only one: as when the ignorance of a lower [stage] initiates the karmic formations of a higher stage.
