述曰：又難前師若愛、取支唯修所斷，寧說彼預流已斷一切支一分？愛、取二支見道不斷，非一切故，亦非一分，全未斷故。彼若救言《大論》第十但據通言，從多分說。

The Commentary states: It also objects to the previous master: If the limbs of craving and grasping were abandoned only by cultivation, how could one say that the stream-enterer has already abandoned a portion of all limbs? The two limbs of craving and grasping would not be abandoned by the path of seeing, so they would not be [part of] "all," nor would they be "a portion," since they would not be abandoned at all. If that [master] should salvage [his position] by saying that the tenth fascicle of the Great Śāstra is merely based on general phrasing, speaking according to the majority:
