述曰：此釋緣體等。此中二障，助前二業感於生死，故說為緣，非正有力由此生故。煩惱障者，謂一切潤生諸惑，取發業者，雖理無違，而今此意取潤生者。所知障者，此類雖多，但取緣佛有情起者，或取一切，如煩惱潤，至下當知。

The Commentary states: This explains the entity of the condition, and so on. Here, the two obstacles assist the preceding two karmas in actuating birth-and-death, and are therefore called conditions, not being directly powerful in causing life to arise through themselves. As for the affliction obstacle, it refers to all the afflictions that moisturise birth; although taking those that initiate karma does not contradict principle, the intention here takes those that moisturise birth. As for the cognitive obstacle, although its varieties are many, it takes only those arising with the Buddha and sentient beings as objects, or it takes all of them, moisturising like afflictions, as will be known below.
