述曰：自下第二出生死體。於中有二：初假外徵，此有二問：生死有幾由二因緣？有何所以，由斯二業生死果起？下答有二：初總答；後別解。

The Commentary states: Below is the second part, which identifies the entities of birth-and-death. Within this there are two parts: first, a hypothetical outside objection, containing two questions: How many kinds of birth-and-death are there due to the two causes and conditions? What is the reason that the fruit of birth-and-death arises due to these two karmas? The answer below has two parts: first, a general answer; afterwards, separate explanations.
