述曰：此下別解有二：初解分段；後解變易。此解分段中，初體，後名，此出體也。用前有漏善、不善業為正感因，由前煩惱障緣助勢力，所感三界異熟無記麁異熟果，易可見故、有定限故、易了知故、二乘世間共知有故，名之為麁。五蘊為性，此即正出生死體也。

The Commentary states: Below is the separate explanation, which has two parts: first, explaining demarcated segments; afterwards, explaining transformation. In this explanation of demarcated segments, first is the entity, afterwards the name; this identifies the entity. Taking the aforementioned wholesome and unwholesome karmas with outflows as the directly actuating causes, and aided by the influential power of the aforementioned condition of the affliction obstacle, that which is actuated is the coarse fruition of indeterminate retribution in the three realms. Because it is easily visible, has fixed limits, is easily comprehended, and is commonly known to exist by both the two vehicles and the mundane world, it is called coarse. Having the five aggregates as its nature, this directly identifies the entity of birth-and-death.
