述曰：此第三外人問。《佛地論》說：二乘無學盡此一身必入永滅，與佛無異，何故引彼趣大菩提長時受苦？彼答：變易位中無斯苦受，斯有何過？又問：行苦有故是為大過，彼文難意大與此同。

The Commentary states: This is the third question from the outsider. The Buddhabhūmi-śāstra states: When those of the two vehicles who are beyond training exhaust this one body, they must enter permanent cessation, no different from a Buddha; why draw them toward great bodhi to undergo suffering for a long time? It answers: In the transformative state, there is no such feeling of suffering; what fault is there in this? It questions again: Because the suffering of conditioned existence (saṃskāra-duḥkhatā) exists, this is a great fault. The intent of the objection in that text is largely identical to this.
