述曰：第二又解，此所知障障大菩提，正障智故，為永斷除此所知障，留身久住，說之為緣，為所斷緣故。
The Commentary states: The second alternative explanation: this cognitive hindrance obstructs great bodhi; because it directly obstructs wisdom, in order to permanently eliminate this cognitive hindrance, they maintain the body to abide for a long time. It is spoken of as a condition because it is the condition for what is to be severed.
