述曰：下釋難云：生起之因，雖有業種等，非因緣攝，以對牽引因已潤故，是近得果，就自因中，名言種子與果同性，以是親顯，故偏說之，略牽引因及自因中業種不說，偏說生起因是能生因，以已潤竟，方名生起，故望牽引為近也。

The Commentary states: Below he resolves the objection, stating: Although the generating cause contains karmic seeds and the like that are not subsumed under cause-condition, because in contrast to the projecting cause it has already been moisturized, it attains its fruit proximately. With respect to its own causes, nominal seeds (nāmaparyāya-bīja) share the same nature as their fruits, and because they are direct and prominent, it is specifically spoken of. Abbreviating the projecting cause and the karmic seeds within its own causes, they are not mentioned, and the generating cause is specifically said to be the productive cause; for having already finished being moisturized, it is only then called 'generating,' and hence relative to the projecting [cause] it is proximate.
