The Commentary states: The third objection. The imagined two parts cannot perfume and form seeds, because they are non-existent dharmas, just like the son of a barren woman; then subsequent consciousnesses and so forth should lack the two parts. However, in his assertion, when the seeds of all two parts are born, only the self-verifying samudācāra is other-dependent, and when seeds produce the two parts they are the imagined; therefore this objection is made. Otherwise, this passage is pursuing the other's meaning, not stating an established [truth].
