The Commentary states: The following explanations through various approaches are divided into two parts: first, distinguishing them by eleven approaches; second, a general summary by analogy. Now, distinguishing them by question and answer yields eleven. Within these, subtle and detailed approaches are extremely numerous, and this is the first. The intention of the question in the treatise is this: because conditioned anāsrava dharmas possess two meanings, they are subsumed under the two natures of paratantra and pariniṣpanna. These [unconditioned dharmas such as] pratisaṃkhyā-nirodha and so forth—"and so forth" includes the unmoving, the cessation of ideation and feeling, and the like—are stated by some texts to be included under anāsrava, while some treatises also state that they are subsumed under duḥkha-satya and so forth. Under which of the three natures are they subsumed?
