述曰：第二，七真如相攝，如《解深密》及七十七、《顯揚》第三、《中邊》第二、《佛地》第七等，廣解真如有諸門釋。舊《中邊》說真如名分破真實，今新翻云「差別真實」。為七種者，從能詮說，非真如體可名差別。論中初問；次答。此為問也。下答中初出七體，後辨相攝。

The Commentary states: Second is the mutual subsumption with the seven tathatās. As in the Saṃdhinirmocana, chapter 77 [of the Yogācārabhūmi-śāstra], Prakaraṇāryavācā fascicle three, the Madhyāntavibhāga fascicle two, the Buddhabhūmi[-upadeśa] fascicle seven, and so on, there are various approaches explaining tathatā in detail. The old Madhyāntavibhāga called tathatā "reality differentiated by analysis", while the new translation calls it "reality of distinctions". It being seven kinds is stated from the perspective of that which expresses it; it is not that the essence of tathatā can be called differentiated. In the treatise, first comes the question; next comes the answer. This is the question. In the answer below, it first presents the seven essences, and then distinguishes their mutual subsumption.
