述曰：十地行多時劫長遠，念念進習，名數數修，伏餘煩惱，斷餘智障。此等位中雖亦修證餘行、餘法，唯識為本，方修餘行，故但言唯識。

The Commentary states: The practices of the ten stages are manifold and the kalpas are vastly long; advancing and practicing from thought-moment to thought-moment is called "repeated cultivation," subduing the remaining afflictions and severing the remaining cognitive hindrances. Although in these stages one also cultivates and realizes other practices and other phenomena, consciousness-only is the foundation, and only then does one cultivate the other practices; therefore, it speaks only of consciousness-only.
