9.41

述曰：下文有三：一、標宗；二、立證；三、會違。此初也。全非五、八識，亦非一切心，執我、法者，方能計故。所以者何？

The Commentary states: The following text has three parts: first, stating the thesis; second, establishing the proofs; third, reconciling contradictions. This is the first. It is not at all the five or the eighth consciousness, nor is it all minds; only those that grasp self and phenomena are capable of imagining. Why is that?
