述曰：明二障中第二，見、修分別。俱生、分別既通六識，分別起者，見道所斷，麁易斷故；六識之中俱生起者，修所斷之，細難斷故。前言：五識隨意引生即成分別、俱生之惑，如五識中煩惱障說，無違理失，即初地中斷五識惑、二障並得。

The Commentary states: Explaining the two obstacles, the second part: distinguishing between seeing and cultivation. Since both the innate and the conceptually discriminated pervade the six consciousnesses, those arising from discrimination are abandoned by the path of seeing, because they are coarse and easy to sever; those among the six consciousnesses that arise innately are abandoned by the path of cultivation, because they are subtle and difficult to sever. As stated earlier: following the mental consciousness, the five consciousnesses are induced and thus form afflictions of discrimination and the innate—just as explained regarding the affliction obstacle in the five consciousnesses, there is no error of contradicting reason; that is, in the first ground, the afflictions of the five consciousnesses and both obstacles are severed together.
