述曰：非五、八識恒與惠俱，寧容有執？前師云：若計度惠麁，五、八無細者亦有。若爾，何故惠數非是遍行？
The Commentary states: The five and eighth consciousnesses are not constantly associated with prajñā; how could grasping possibly exist [in them]? The former master says: If deliberative prajñā is coarse, the five and eighth lack it, yet subtle ones also exist. If so, why is the mental factor of prajñā not universally present (sarvatraga)?
