The Commentary states: Fascicle 55 states: 'Contemplating the domains of the four truths of suffering and so forth as established across the lower and upper realms, arising as a likeness of the cognitions of phenomena and subsequent cognitions, is the stage of the second clear realization,' up to extensive explanations. That is to say, cognition receptive to inclination and cognition decisive in clear realization are the clear realization of truth which is the wisdom on the verge of clear realization (abhisamayāntika-jñāna-satya-abhisamaya). Prakaraṇāryavācā fascicle 17 states: 'The four-truth cognitions of dharma-jñāna and anvaya-jñāna do not differ by mental mode (ākāra), yet their differences are stated according to what they effect.' In the real path of seeing, it can also be said by extension of meaning that there are sixteen moments of mind; since the sixteen moments are so, the three moments are likewise. Here, being stated in terms of difference in mental mode, it is purely the figurative [path of seeing]. However, that text says the sixteen minds of the lower and upper realms belong to the path of cultivation (bhāvanāmārga); Yogācārabhūmi fascicle 55 says the path of seeing, while Prakaraṇāryavācā says the path of cultivation, which is not a contradiction. Furthermore, fascicle 55 states: 'Arising from the path of seeing, the sixteen minds of the lower and upper realms are produced; arising from the three-mind non-posited path of seeing, one undertakes this posited contemplation of the truths; it does not fully emerge from the path of seeing, but arises when in the path of cultivation.' That text is slightly different and may be examined closely.
