述曰：第二釋頌，不說二種見道本頌，何故但說於真？以證識性觀照如故，即圓成實。自證識相，亦是自心觀於依他故。今依見分說。論說初勝，後者後得攝，故不及前，如五十五說。

The Commentary states: The second part explains the verse. Why does the root verse not mention the two kinds of path of seeing, but only speaks of the real? Because it realizes the nature of consciousness and directly contemplates tathatā, namely the thoroughly established nature (pariniṣpanna). Self-witnessing the marks of consciousness is also one's own mind contemplating the other-dependent nature (paratantra). Here it is spoken in terms of the seeing-part. The treatise states that the first is superior, whereas the latter is subsumed under the subsequently acquired [wisdom], and hence does not equal the former, as stated in fascicle 55.
