問：何故四依勸依智，不依識。此論名「唯識」，不名「唯智」耶？問餘三依亦如是。

Question: Why do the four reliances admonish relying on wisdom (jñāna) and not relying on consciousness (vijñāna), whereas this treatise is named 'vijñapti-mātra' (consciousness-only) and not named 'jñāna-mātra' (wisdom-only)? Questions concerning the other three reliances are also like this.
